I spent the weekend researching my project and going out with the camera. The following images were taken on Saturday evening in the busiest shopping area of London.
To create the sense of this bustling area, I captured some images using slow shutter speeds and the camera attached to a tripod. After uploading them onto the computer, I cropped a few of them to create alternative compositions.
Upon learning that yellow is the strongest colour to the human eye, I noticed how the many Selfridges bags carried by shoppers stood out within the crowds.
The wet pavement reflected the light from the shop fronts and created a mirror like effect.
What I found quite amusing when going through the images on my computer, was the number of people who had posed for the camera! I cropped the image above to draw focus on the Asian girl who stood still whilst the crowds passed by.
